IFESElectionGuide calendar

Upcoming presidential elections listed by IFES ElectionGuide. Direct and indirect contests may appear. Highlighting a country identifies an election for head of state; it does not establish that the incumbent is seeking re-election or assess whether the contest is free or fair. Parliamentary elections that select a head of government are outside this view.

DATA & ACCESS

Public sources.
Clear provenance.

US matchups: DeepSyte’s free open ballot roster supplies reported general-election candidates nationwide, with links to each source race page. Michigan uses the official Michigan general-election list. Source dates are shown per race. Multi-candidate and same-party contests are preserved; a single listed candidate is not automatically labelled unopposed.

United States filing details: the FEC candidate master file supplies candidate IDs, parties, offices and election years. This snapshot filters House and Senate filings to election year 2026. Source file modified November 2, 2026. Registration does not confirm ballot access, nomination, active candidacy or a winner. Democratic, DFL and DNL filings are grouped together; Republican and GOP filings are grouped together. Each record retains its supplied affiliation. FEC party code descriptions.

The Senate roster covers 33 Class II seats and the Florida and Ohio special elections. House coverage uses the 435 voting districts under the 2020 apportionment.

Global: IFES ElectionGuide’s upcoming calendar, filtered to presidential contests. Source titles, countries and dates are preserved. Coverage follows the source calendar, not a complete census of every future contest. Dates, postponements and rounds can change; check the linked profile and electoral authority. One calendar entry is withheld because its country and presidential title conflict.

Free access: FEC bulk downloads need no account. For an OpenFEC API key, use the free API signup. ElectionGuide’s calendar is public; request IFES data access for portal/API options. Access is subject to the provider’s approval and terms.

Results: vote counts, race calls and certification are not supplied in this edition. State election authorities publish official results; the state election office directory provides the starting point. There is no connected nationwide live results feed.

Source retrieval: November 2, 2026. The source directory and country briefings are checked automatically each day. Each briefing retains its source dates, evidence links and matching audio. A failed refresh retains the last verified edition and its original date. Download this edition’s source records.
