REGIONAL BUSINESS CONTEXT
Minnesota agricultural sales · 2022
Corn, soybeans, hogs, dairy, and poultry link farm production with grain handling, food processing, and agricultural finance. The state reported 65,531 farms.
USDA · 2022 Census of AgricultureMinnesota total crop premium · 2025
Reported insured liability: $11.32B. Leading categories by premium: Corn, Soybeans, Sugar Beets. These figures describe the state’s insured crop exposure, not premium written in the destination city.
USDA RMA · Summary of BusinessAgricultural risk-transfer perspective
Corn and soybean portfolios make regional yield and price correlation central to crop reinsurance. Geographic diversification, retained risk, and capital allocation are useful topics for underwriting discussions.
USDA RMA · Reinsurance frameworkHennepin County, MN · GDP, 2024
Current-dollar GDP across all industries in the stated area. This measures local economic scale; it is not agricultural sales or the full metropolitan economy.
BEA · County GDP, CAGDP1 line 3Agricultural sales are statewide 2022 Census market value of products sold. Crop premium and liability are statewide 2025 RMA coverage-table totals from the Molto data snapshot queried November 1, 2026; they exclude private crop-hail business and are not a measure of all agricultural insurance. Figures can be revised. GDP is 2024 current-dollar county GDP; New York City sums its five borough counties. Core-county figures are not metro totals; state figures repeat across destinations in the same state and must not be added. Farm sales are gross sales, while GDP measures value added. Reinsurance text is a qualitative interpretation of regional crop exposures and federal risk-sharing rules, not local reinsurance volume or a claim of specific meetings. Business-hub and conference descriptions distinguish a destination’s commercial role from its local production statistics. Named organizations and conference examples illustrate the local business setting; they do not assert a particular meeting, attendance year, golf round, endorsement, or client relationship.
Sources reviewed November 1, 2026. RMA totals include all premium payers; they are not producer-paid premium alone. Product availability varies by crop and county.
Locations represent markets of expertise and industry engagement, not office locations. Markers indicate city centers, except New Jersey, which represents the state. Alaska and Hawaii are shown as insets below the mainland. Bermuda and the Cayman Islands are positioned geographically, with enlarged outlines for visibility.
